Another NSV...

Today while rounding on my patients, I took the stairs!!! And, my patients are scattered throughout the hospital so it was no small feat! But even though I am working out 6 days a week, I was still winded walking up the steps :( I guess that shouldn't surprise me since my colleague who runs half-marathons is winded every morning when he gets to our office (which is located on the 9th floor). I still haven't braved that trek... I took the elevator to our office this am. Who knows -- maybe after a while I too will do the 9 floor hike (but for now I'm taking it one step at a time...)

OK, that was a little corny (and unintended)... but you know what I mean!

Happy Sunday!

Hey, that's awesome that you took the stairs. Even though you're working out 6 x's a week and still got winded taking the stairs...remember, this is like a different exercise that your body is not used to, so it's ok to get winded. :)
I bet by end of year you'll be able to do the 9 floor hike. ;)

Yup, I often do the stairs down but still can't get myself to do much more than 1 flight at a time up.

UGH! Stairs. Good for you for taking them! I'm such a bad, lazy elevator person. I need to commit to taking the stairs more often, and just not being embarrassed if I show up someplace winded. Keep being a good example!

NSV stands for non-scale victory... which is all I seem to have these days. Here's hoping I have some real results again, and soon!

NSVs are real results...and ones to be proud of!! Great job taking the stairs! I know how you feel being winded after taking stairs! I'll be ready to do them with you when I get back (I hope!)

I totally get winded after taking stairs - even if it's just a flight or two (and I do a lot of running these days). That's hard work! I definitely agree that the NSV is that you took them in the first place! You go girl! :-) I love that you are posting more...very motivating!
