Crazy? I was crazy once...

My friends are beginning to wear me down. They want me to do a race -- an 8K to be exact. This idea seems absolutely CrAzY to me as I am NOT a runner! I don't even think I have the stamina to walk the entire thing... it's just under 5 miles!!!

I think I may try to get ready for the race and when it comes closer to the day I will make a decision... But the fact that I'm even considering this makes me question my sanity.

More to come on this topic later...

Happpy Wednesday!

"it starts with an "A" Aardvark, aardvark" - haha. I think an 8K is a GREAT idea!! You can do it! Let me know if you ever want to walk around the neighborhood! I'll try to keep up!

Think positive! You CAN do it! Say you'll do it...if you go in with the mentality of I'll decide at the end...you'll change your mind. Say yes and start training...even if you can't run the whole thing...you can do a walk/run...actually I've heard from people that have done marathon's that their times compared from running the whole thing to walk/run is not that big of a difference.

There's no way you wrote that subject line without anticipating the following from me: "They locked me in a little rubber room..." Thanks for the laugh!

Anyway, you should totally go for it!! I think it's great for you to have a specific goal (compared to general goals like "eat healthier") that is not related to numbers on a scale. Setting your sights on completing an 8k will give you something new and tangible to strive for, with the added consequence of helping you move toward achieving your other goals. Definitely go for it -- you'll be so glad (and proud) that you did!!
